FAQ: How do I disable proxy servers?

Using a proxy or VPN can prevent proper access to our site. To avoid restrictions, you must disable all proxies and connect directly using your normal internet connection.

Below are instructions for all major systems and browsers.

Windows (10 / 11)

  1. Open Settings

  2. Go to Network & Internet

  3. Click Proxy

  4. Turn OFF:

    • Automatically detect settings

    • Use setup script

    • Use a proxy server

  5. Close Settings and restart your browser

macOS

  1. Open System Settings (or System Preferences)

  2. Go to Network

  3. Select your active connection (Wi-Fi or Ethernet)

  4. Click DetailsProxies

  5. Make sure all proxy options are unchecked

  6. Click OK, then Apply

  7. Restart your browser

Android

  1. Open Settings

  2. Go to Network & InternetWi-Fi

  3. Tap your connected network

  4. Select Edit or Advanced

  5. Set Proxy to None

  6. Save changes

⚠️ Also check that no VPN app is active or installed.

iPhone / iPad (iOS)

  1. Open Settings

  2. Tap Wi-Fi

  3. Tap the next to your connected network

  4. Scroll to HTTP Proxy

  5. Set it to Off

  6. Go back and ensure no VPN is enabled

Google Chrome (Windows / macOS)

Chrome uses your system’s proxy settings.

  1. Open Chrome

  2. Go to Settings

  3. Search for proxy

  4. Click Open your computer’s proxy settings

  5. Disable all proxy options (see OS steps above)

  6. Restart Chrome

Microsoft Edge

Edge also uses system proxy settings.

  1. Open Edge

  2. Go to Settings

  3. Search for proxy

  4. Click Open your computer’s proxy settings

  5. Disable all proxy options

  6. Restart Edge

Mozilla Firefox (Important – has its own proxy settings)

  1. Open Firefox

  2. Go to Settings

  3. Scroll to Network Settings

  4. Click Settings

  5. Select No proxy

  6. Click OK

  7. Restart Firefox

Safari (macOS / iOS)

Safari follows system proxy settings.

  • Disable proxies in macOS Network settings (see macOS steps above)

  • On iPhone/iPad, disable HTTP Proxy in Wi-Fi settings

Final checks

  • Make sure no VPN software is running

  • Do not use shared devices or networks

  • Use one browser, one device, one clean internet connection

  • Restart your device after making changes

If proxies or VPNs remain enabled, access may continue to be restricted.
