How to manage a script template?

Edit or delete script templates from the Calendar (Admin only)

When creating a daily, weekly or even monthly show, you hardly ever start from a blank page. With TinkerList, you can create a template script that is copied each time you add a new script in the Calendar.

Managing and editing script templates is only available to Admin users.

How to edit a script template?

To edit a script template, go to the menu in the Calendar and find the option Edit script templates

Select the template you wish to make changes to, it will open on the side. The script header is marked it yellow to make clear you are making changes to the template.

Make all necessary changes and simply close the template again. All changes are immediately saved.

Next time a new copy is made in the Calendar, the latest version is applied. There is no changes made to previous copies.

How to rename a script template?

To rename a script template:

  1. Open the script template via 'Edit Script Templates' in the menu of the Calendar

  2. On top, double-click the current name of the template to edit

  3. Click outside of the script title field to save your changes


Once you have closed and reopened the Calendar, you will see the changes on the template name.

How to delete a script template?

To delete a script template, go to the menu in the Calendar and find the option Edit script templates. Select the template you wish to delete to open it.

To delete the script template, go to the script menu and select Move to trash


​Important notice: when deleting a script template, it will also delete the whole script segment from the Calendar, including all copies made.

Restore a deleted script template

To undo a deleted script template, go to the Trash and find your deleted template.

Hit the RESTORE button to add it back to the Calendar.
