Event series registration and event attendance in Sessions

Welcome to the Sessions guide! As a learner, you might be wondering how to register for an event series. First things first, make sure that your admin and trainers have completed the necessary steps to make Sessions and events available on your platform.

The easiest way to find Sessions is to tap on 'More' in the navigation menu and select 'Sessions'. If no Sessions are listed, it's likely that no Sessions have been made available to you yet. Don't hesitate to ask your admin to create Sessions and unlock the activities for your group.

If you cannot see the "Sessions" feature in the main menu, it may not be enabled on the platform.

Sessions can also appear on your Discovery Stream or as part of Journeys. You can click on the Session tile to open it and register for the event series. Keep in mind that a series may consist of one or multiple events.


Registering to an event series

When registering, you'll see a list of available event series with status labels indicating the registration window timeframe (green: lots of time left, orange: closing in a few days, red: closing today). If the register button is disabled and displaying 'No upcoming events open for registration', there are three possible scenarios:

  1. There are no future event series available for your group.

  2. There are no event series with an open registration window.

  3. There are no available spot in the event series and there is no waiting list.

Ask the trainer to add more event series for this Session, or wait until new event series become available.

If an event series is full, it's possible to join a waiting list if the trainer has enabled it. When there's a spot available, the first person in the waiting list will automatically be registered for the event series and receive an automatic email and in-app notification about confirmation of the registration.


Session completed

Once you've registered and attended the event(s), the Session activity is marked as completed.

You may be asked to fill in an evaluation after attending all the events in the series (this differs per Session). Simply open the Session again and click 'Evaluate'. If the session has an evaluation, your activity will only be completed once you fill out the evaluation.


Good to know 👀

  • If you are a trainer hosting an event in the series, you cannot also register as an attendee for the same event series.

  • If you have any issues with attendance confirmation or need to contact the host, you can do so by clicking the 'Email host' button.

Now you're ready to navigate the Sessions and register for event series like a pro!
