The text + media template combines headings, text, images and videos into one flowing learning experience. Add as many sections as you need and arrange them in any order.
Setting it up
Each section starts with a choice. Click one of the buttons to add a content block:
Heading — a title to introduce or separate content
Text — body text that supports bold, italic, lists and hyperlinks
Image — upload a JPG, PNG or GIF
Video upload — upload an MP4 file (H.264 codec)
Video URL — paste a link from YouTube, Vimeo or similar
You can add as many blocks as you like and reorder them freely:
The order you set here is what learners will see.
Customising the background
Each section can have a background image. To set one up, open the background image settings and upload a JPG, PNG or GIF.

Once you have added an image, you have three options:
Hide the image overlay — removes the dark overlay that sits on top of the image. The overlay is on by default to keep text readable. Turning it off may reduce readability.
Switch to white headings — makes headings white so they stand out on a dark background. Also changes the continue button to white.
Switch to white texts — makes body text white for better legibility on a dark background.
✏️ Tip
If you use a background image, enable white headings and white texts to keep your content easy to read.
A note on video URLs
Videos added via URL (YouTube, Vimeo, etc.) will adopt the styling of the external video player. This means you cannot customise how they look.
👀 Good to know
If visual consistency matters, consider uploading your video as an MP4 instead of using a URL.
