In the Hotspot Blind template, the learner needs to click on the correct regions in a single image, guided by the instructions underneath the image. The learner has three attempts to click on the correct region, after three wrong tries the hotspot will become visible and the learner can proceed to the next one.

Setting it up

Below fields are present within this template. They can be found in the content builder. Fields with an * are required.

Content ID*
Title of this template, only shown in the content builder.

Intro
Information added here will be shown in the introduction of the learning format.

  • Heading (text only)*: A heading that will be visible to the user.

  • Text (rich text)*: A body of text that supports bulleted or numbered lists, hyperlinks, bold and italic texts.

  • Show instructions (checkbox): Ticking this box will show an extra line of instructions (i.e. ‘Tap the arrows to explore the image’) in the intro pop-up.

Hotspot

This is where you create the blind hotspot.

  • Title*: A title for this hotspot, used in analytics and invisible to the user.

  • Image*: Image uploader for JPG, PNG, GIF.

  • Region selector*: Here you can select the regions that the hotspot texts refer to (see ‘hotspot texts’). Drag the selector to the correct location on the image.

Hotspot texts

Here, you can add multiple hotspot texts. For each added hotspot, a region selector appears on top of the image.

For every hotspot you can add:

  • Question (text only)*: Used in analytics and also shown to the learner.

  • Text (rich text): A descriptive text that supports bulleted and numbered lists, hyperlinks, bold and italic texts.

  • Supertitle (text only): An optional supertitle that will show above the title.

Feedback correct/incorrect

For each hotspot you can add correct and incorrect feedback, shown when the learner clicks on the specified region on the image or outside the region, respectively. The feedback needs to contain:

  • Title (text only): A title for the feedback text.

  • Text (rich text): A descriptive text that supports bulleted and numbered lists, hyperlinks, bold and italic texts.
