The hotspot blind template challenges learners to click the correct region within a single image, guided by instructions shown below the image.
What is a hotspot blind activity?
A hotspot blind activity is an image-based interaction where:
Learners click on regions in an image based on instructions shown underneath
Learners have three attempts to click the correct region
After three wrong tries, the hotspot becomes visible so the learner can continue
How to set up a hotspot blind activity
The hotspot blind template is selected within a learning bite.
Go to Control > Content > Activity
Create a new learning bite or open an existing one
Select the Hotspot blind template
You can now configure the template using the fields below. Fields marked with * are required.
Configure the hotspot blind fields
Content ID*
Internal identifier for this template. This is only visible in Studio.
Where to find the Content ID for this template
The Content ID for the interactive video template is automatically generated.
You can find it directly in the URL while editing the template in Studio.

Intro section
The intro is shown before the learner interacts with the image.
You can configure:
Heading (text only)*: Visible to the learner
Text (rich text)*:
Supports bulleted and numbered lists, hyperlinks, bold, and italic textShow instructions (checkbox):
Displays an extra instruction line (for example: “Tap the arrows to explore the image”) in the intro pop-up
Hotspot
This is where you create the blind hotspot.
Title*: Title for this hotspot, used in analytics and invisible to the learner
Image*: Image uploader for JPG, PNG, GIF
Region selector*: Select the region the hotspot texts refer to (see “Hotspot texts”). Drag the selector to the correct location on the image.
Hotspot texts
You can add multiple hotspot texts. For each added hotspot, a region selector appears on top of the image.
For every hotspot text, you can add:
Question (text only)*: Used in analytics and also shown to the learner
Text (rich text): Descriptive text that supports bulleted and numbered lists, hyperlinks, bold, and italic text
Supertitle (text only): Optional supertitle shown above the title
Feedback correct and incorrect
For each hotspot, you can add correct and incorrect feedback. Feedback is shown when the learner clicks:
The specified region (correct), or
Outside the region (incorrect)
Each feedback type needs:
Title (text only): A title for the feedback text
Text (rich text): A descriptive text that supports bulleted and numbered lists, hyperlinks, bold, and italic text
