Some of the growth platform templates and formats support video content, such as the Direct Video format, Task format, Text Media template, MPC Video template, Social challenge format and the Social challenge with feedback format. You can either upload files or use video URLs in your platform's content builder.

PLEASE NOTE:

You can add videos in locations that specifically mention 'video upload' or 'video url'. Please refrain from embedding videos in the rich text editor, since these videos will behave in an unexpected way (i.e. not scale nicely on different screen sizes).

Video uploads

File recommendations for video uploads

Reduce file size as much as you can to limit the use of data for mobile users. Pick the following presets when converting your video:

  • Resolution: 720p (1280x720)

  • Use either the medium or low-quality setting if available

As a rule of thumb a video should not be larger than 20MB per minute. The max total file size depends on your internet upload speed, but also for the sake of your learners we recommend to not upload files larger than 100MB.

Video URLs:

The video player supports URLs from YouTube, Vimeo, Facebook, Twitch, Streamable, Wistia, DailyMotion, SoundCloud and Mixcloud.

Please make sure your video's privacy settings in the above platforms are set to 'public' or allow for any person who has the link to view the video. These settings are named differently on each platform. Videos that are set to 'private', 'only me' or 'hidden' or something similar are unplayable through the platform.

Below are examples of video URLs that should work, provided that they have the correct privacy settings:

YouTube

If the video is unplayable, please ask the video owner to check the video's privacy settings on YouTube. Make sure the video is set to 'public' or 'unlisted'.

Tip: If you don't want YouTube to automatically play the next video you can add the following text to the and of the url: ?autoplay=0&rel=0

Vimeo

If the video is unplayable, please ask the video owner to check the video's privacy settings on Vimeo.

Facebook

If the video is unplayable, please ask the video owner to change the post's audience settings in which the video was shared.

Twitch

Streamable

Wistia

DailyMotion

SoundCloud

Mixcloud
