The audio format is a simple activity format where the learner is required to listen to an audio file to complete the activity.

Fields in the Content Builder

To create an audio format, the following fields can be filled into the content builder:

  • Content ID* = A unique identifier for the activity. Only shown in the Content Builder.

  • Title (text only)* = This is the activity title shown within the activity, as well as on the activity tile and spotlighted activity (if applicable).

  • Image* = Image uploader for JPG, PNG, GIF. Shown within the activity as well as on the activity tile and spotlighted activity (if applicable).

  • Checkbox: Hide the image overlay = The image has a dark overlay to increase visibility of the close button. Disabling this checkbox will disable the overlay.

  • Text (rich text) = A descriptive text that is shown in the top of the intro, supports bulleted or numbered lists, hyperlinks, bold and italic texts.

  • Audio* = The audio presented at the bottom at the activity. The following types of audio can be used:

    • Audio upload = Here you can upload an audio file.

      • Audio* = Audio uploader for MP3 files.

      • Title* = The title that will appear on the audio player in the activity.

    • Audio URL = Here you can use an audio file from URL.

      • Audio url* = The url link of the audio file. Make sure the url links to an audio file and not a video (e.g. Youtube links do not work in this format).

      • Title* = The title that will appear on the audio player in the activity.

    • Embed audio player = Here you can embed files from Spotify, SoundCloud and Apple Music.

      • Embed code* = Paste here the embed code.

Please note: Learners who don't have an account in the media streaming service might not have access to the full content (e.g., Spotify or Apple Music).

Good to know: How to embed an audio player?

Spotify example

  1. In Spotify app, go to the artist profile, album, song, playlist, or podcast you want to share and click the 3 dots next to it.

  2. Select Share

  3. Click on Embed. You will see a code in the pop-up.

  4. Copy the code

  5. Paste it in the content builder.

The code should look like this:

<iframe style="border-radius:12px"src="https://open.spotify.com/embed/episode/1oCdcCQ74SVx0Te4efH0n3?utm_source=generator" width="100%" height="352" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen="" allow="autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; fullscreen; picture-in-picture" loading="lazy"></iframe>

Now the audio file is ready! Don't forget to Save the format and to click on "Push to TinQwise growth platform" in the content builder.

Same steps can be applied to other media streaming services such as SoundCloud or Apple Music.
