Studio is where platform admins like you create and edit content, connect content with learners, and manage everything related to your learning setup, all in one place.

πŸ’‘If you see a "Studio" tag in your activities, or are creating journeys and programmes in <your-platform-name>.platform.co.nl/control, you're already using Studio!

If you have created content in the Content Builder/Qollap before and wonder about the transition from the content builder to Studio, visit this FAQ on moving to studio!

1. What is Studio?

Studio is the new content editor in TinQwise. It replaces Content Builder for creating learning activities. Studio is integrated directly into Control, so you don’t need to switch tools.

With Studio you can:

  • Create and edit activities in a simpler, more modern interface.

  • Preview before publishing.

  • Manage translations more easily.

  • Restore earlier versions of your work.

Attention!

πŸ‘‰ From January 1st, all content creation will be made in Studio.

The Content Builder will remain available only for Smart Exams.

πŸ’‘Editing your existing CB activities in Studio

As you know, since November we have started to automatically move content from the Content Builder to Studio. This is still ongoing, however it does take some time.

If you get a pop up to move an activity to studio (and continue editing), this will also automatically move the content.

Content that is not yet in control needs to be moved to studio πŸ‘‰ Learn how to move content from the Content Builder to Studio!

2. Why Studio instead of Content Builder?

Compared to Content Builder, Studio offers:

  • A cleaner and more intuitive interface.

  • Version history so that you can restore previous edits.

  • Easier translations, including AI-powered translations.

  • A central asset library for reusing media.

  • More consistent design and editing experience.

It is no longer possible to create learning activities, journeys and programmes on the Content Builder. All new features will be built for Studio and the Content Builder will no longer be updated.

Content Builder vs. Studio

Content Builder

Studio

Separate tool, harder to access

Integrated in Control - no switching tools

Interface feels outdated

Clean, modern, and easier to use

No version history

Full version history – restore earlier edits

Translations are manual and time-consuming

Multiple translation options: manual, AI-powered, import/export

Limited media handling

Central asset library with video, audio, and images

No improvements planned

All new features and improvements land here

πŸ‘‰ In short: Studio is easier to use, more powerful, and actively developed.

3. What can you do in Studio?

Here are just a few things you can manage in Studio:

  • Create new activities, sessions, and programs

  • Edit existing content and keep it up to date

  • Connect content with learners through groups and automations

  • Track progress using reports and insights

  • Manage access, roles, and integrations

We are excited about the future of Studio and are diligently working to introduce powerful new features.

What does moving to Studio from the Content Builder mean?

  • Automations and reporting data: Automations linked to activities will be moved with the activity to Studio. These setups will not be lost.

  • Learner access and progress: Learners will retain access to the activity, and their progress will remain intact.
