Navigating the Reporting Page

Sales Management

Filter Sales Data:

  • Use the Quick Filters to switch between the current and previous pay periods or set a custom date range. You can only visualize data in a 30-day span.

  • Sort and Organize sales by location, employee, job code, or the sale's open/closed time.

  • Use the search bar to filter sales by the team member who owns the sale.

  • Click the “See Detailed View” icon to display more granular information.

  • Click the "Export" button to receive a copy of your sales data in your email.

  • You can use the "Actions" menu to batch the job code on a sale or group of sales or make a custom team adjustment to override the default ruleset for the selected sales.

  • Click on the gray circle with a number to view itemized checks and their corresponding tip distribution, displayed to the right of each sale.

  • Use the “Sync” button in the top-right corner of the screen to sync your sales and shifts data. Employees, Job Codes, Sale Item Categories, and Revenue Center data are synced once every day, and must be synced from the Settings Tab.

Methods for Updating Job Codes

1. Update via POS System (Recommended)

  • Edit the employee’s job code directly in your Point of Sale (POS) system.

  • TipHaus will automatically sync the updated information during the next scheduled sync, or you can trigger a manual sync to expedite the process.

  • This method ensures consistency across systems and minimizes manual edits in TipHaus.

2. Edit Directly in TipHaus

If the job code was not captured correctly from the POS or needs to be adjusted manually, you can edit it directly in TipHaus:

  1. Navigate to the Reporting tab from the main menu.

  2. Select Worked Shifts.

  3. Locate the specific shift you want to update.

  4. Click the Edit (pencil) icon on the far right of the row.

  5. Update the job code and any other necessary details, such as clock-in/out times or declared tips.

  6. Save your changes.

You can use the "Actions" menu to schedule shifts on a weekly or monthly basis to streamline operations and improve scheduling efficiency.

  • Use the Batch Job Code Assignment feature to update multiple shifts with the same job code correction in one action, saving time and effort.

Notes and Considerations

  • Permissions: Ensure you have the necessary permissions to edit shift details in TipHaus.

  • Synchronization Limitations: Changes made directly in TipHaus affect TipHaus records only and do not sync back to your POS or time-tracking system.

FAQs

What happens to tip distribution when a job code is updated?

When you update a job code, the system recalculates tip distribution based on the new role. Allow a short time for the changes to process and reflect in reports.

Breakdown Snapshots

You can access historical data on pay period breakdowns to go over past performance.

  • View snapshots of previous pay periods directly from the Breakdown Snapshots section.

  • Download detailed reports containing the same information shown on the main breakdown page for the pay period you selected.

Report Exports

The "Report Exports" tab contains any custom report exports your organization has set up. You can click on the options to the right of each row to reprocess the report or download a copy.

What happens when an automatic report export fails?

When an automatic scheduled report export fails, an icon with hover text now displays, alerting you about the failure and allowing you to reprocess the export if you wish.

Peer-to-Peer Reporting

Peer-to-Peer allows employees to share tips with their co-workers electronically. These simple, secure transactions represent some of your take-home tips from the current Pay Period. You can filter Peer-to-Peer data by selecting preset or custom date ranges and searching for specific employees by name.

⚠️ Important: The ability to void peer-to-peer transactions must first be enabled on the backend. If you don’t see the “Void Transaction” option in your dashboard, don't hesitate to contact our support team so we can activate it for your organization.

⚠️ Peer-to-Peer is free but not enabled for all organizations. If you don’t see it in your Dashboard, contact support about enabling it for your organization! ⚠️
