Setting up a Zapier integration
1) Log in/Sign up in Zapier
2) Create a workflow ("Zap")
Once you are in Zapier, click on “Create Zap” to create you first workflow.
Define a Trigger
You will need to define a "trigger" for your workflow. Every workflow starts with a trigger—an event that initiates the process. For instance, if you wish to receive a Slack notification whenever you record a meeting with tl;dv, the trigger would be labeled as "new recording added"
To define a trigger, search and select the tl;dv on the list
Once you have selected tl;dv, choose the event that will initiate your automation.
Then, you will be asked to login to your tl;dv account.
Zapier will ask you to give access to your tl;dv account's API key.
Go to your settings page at tl;dv to generate your personal API key
Paste the API Key that was generated onto Zapier's page, in order to continue with the setup process
Once you have done that, your account will be successfully connected to Zapier.
Next, you can test your tl;dv Trigger. When you click "Test Trigger," Zapier will verify and inform you whether the trigger is functioning as anticipated.
Define an Action
Once you've set up the trigger, it's time to pick an Action! This is what the automation will do once it's triggered. For example, if you want to shoot a quick Slack message whenever a recording is created, the action would be "send a Slack message."
Select your desired app and follow the steps to create your custom workflow.
3) Publish your workflow
After you've finished configuring your "action", you can click on Publish to "turn on" your workflow automation. And Voilà! You're all set!
4) Types of tl;dv triggers
At the moment, tl;dv supports 3 main events on Zapier. Learn more about each of them below.
Recording Added
The "Recording Added" trigger will run your automation everytime that a meeting is fully recorded and transcribed at tl;dv. These are a few examples of workflows that can be automated using the "Recording Added" trigger:
Note Added
The "Note Added" trigger will run your automation everytime that a meeting note is generated at tl;dv. This includes both "AI-generated" notes and "manually generated" notes. These are a few examples of workflows that can be automated using the "Note Added" trigger:
"Note Added" Filter options:
You can refine your "Note Added" automations using the "Note Tag" filter
When filtering by tag, you will only receive notes that contain this/these specific(s) tag(s). By default, if nothing is selected, you will receive all the notes. You can select as many tags as you want.
Transcript Added
The "Transcript Added" trigger will run your automation everytime that a transcript is generated at tl;dv. These are a few examples of workflows that can be automated using the "Transcript Added" trigger:
5) Types of tl;dv Actions
At the moment, tl;dv supports 1 main action on Zapier.
Upload Recording
The "Upload Recording" action will run your automation everytime that a file (.mp3, .mp4, .wav, .m4a, .mkv, .mov, .avi, .wma, .flac formats) is generated at your selected app. This file will be automatically uploaded to tl;dv. These are a few examples of workflows that can be automated using the "Upload Recording" action:
⚠️ Please note that some apps (for example, Zoom) might require specific settings for the upload integration to function properly. Ensure that you have enabled the necessary permissions within the designated apps.

Trouble shooting
1) Integration credits
Unlimited integrations are available under the tl;dv Pro plan. However, you can still get a taste of the power of integrations on the Free plan. For that, tl;dv grants you 20 free "integration credits."
What are integration credits?
An integration credit will be counted every time one of your "triggers" is used. For example, if you have set up an integration using the "Recording Added" Zapier trigger, every time you record a meeting, this will count as a credit used.
It doesn't matter if you have 10 workflows running under this trigger. If only 1 meeting was recorded, all 10 workflows will count as a single credit. This is because what counts as a credit is the "Recording Added" trigger being activated or used.
Please note that tl;dv Zapier actions (such as "Upload Recording") are not counted as integration credits.
How can I know how many free credits I have left?
During your integrations trial, you will see a banner at the top of your "Your workflows" Integrations tab. On this banner, you can check how many free credits you have already used.
Once you have used all of your free integration credits, your workflows will be paused. You will receive the following notifications for it:
A banner will appear on your meeting recording pages.
The side menu will display an "alert icon" and an informative message upon hover.
If you have active workflows on the "Your workflows" Integrations tab, they will appear as "Paused."
⚠️ Not seeing any of these messages? Please reach out to our support team via the chat widget in the bottom right corner. We are happy to assist and verify what might be happening.
2) Upload Recordings
Facing issues with the Upload Recording action? Follow the steps below:
Make sure you have enabled the necessary permissions in Zoom
tl;dv can only access Zoom recordings that aren't password protected. Before creating your Zap, make sure your Zoom recording settings are correct.
Log in to your account on the Zoom website. Click on Settings, located on the left-hand side. Under the Recording tab, make sure both Require users to authenticate before viewing cloud recordings and Require password to access shared cloud recordings are turned off.
You'll also need to ensure that Allow cloud recording sharing is turned on.
