tl;dv connects with Trello via two partners:
• Zapier – for automated workflows
• Paragon – for manual workflows
In this article, we will focus on the latter. Explore automated workflows for Trello on the Integrations page.
Connecting Trello via Paragon allows you to send individual meeting notes to existing or new cards in specific Trello boards. This integration requires an API key and an API token. Here's how to get them:
How to start the connection:
Open the page of one of your existing meetings.
Hover over a meeting note and click on the Trello icon.
Click on Create card in Trello or Add to card in Trello.
4. If the connection hasn’t been set up yet, the next popup will appear. Click on Connect:
5. You will need an API key and an API token to confirm the integration.
➡️ How to get the API key
Go to the Power-up Admin Portal page in Trello (you can also open it by clicking on key settings from that popup)
Click on New to create your first integration.
A Trello popup will appear. Fill out the basic information and click on Save.
4. You will see a grey square with the image of a key icon inside 🔑 and the name of your integration below.
5. Please click on that icon 🔑 , then go to the API key section.
6. Copy the API key (a long string of characters) using the copy button on the right.
7. Return to the previous tl;dv page and paste the API key into the first field (API key).
➡️ How to get the API token
Open the Power-up Admin Portal page in Trello
Click on the integration (grey square with the key icon 🔑 )
Open the API key subpage
Click on generate a token (on the right side)
You can skip steps from 1-4 by clicking directly on "On this page" in the tl;dv popup.
A page will open in a new tab, asking you to confirm that you granted tl;dv access to your Trello account.
Click on Allow.
Copy the long string of red characters, it’s a temporary token.
4. Return to the previous tl;dv page and paste the API token into the second field (API token).
After filling out the popup with the API key and API token, click Continue to confirm the connection.
All set 👍
From now on, you can send individual meeting notes to existing or new cards in Trello. 🎉
