Answer
If your business is part of a Toast Multilocation Management (MLM) or Enterprise account with Toast, use the Toast Platform Guide for more information on how to assign and adjust your taxes.
Per the terms of the Merchant Agreement between you and Toast, you acknowledge and agree that Toast has no obligation to determine whether taxes apply to your business or transactions, or to calculate, collect, report, or remit any taxes to any tax authority arising from any payment.

To create a new fixed tax rate and assign it to an item, follow these steps:

First, you must set up a new fixed tax rate by navigating to Menus > Settings > Manage tax rates in Toast Web. If you already have one set up, you can skip this step and proceed to step 2.
From the New tax rate page, configure your desired tax rate settings. For the Type setting, select Fixed.
Save and publish your changes.
