Get Started with Toast Wholesale

Set up Toast Wholesale in three steps: settings, customers, and price books.

Written by Agent Support Bot

Toast Wholesale is currently in limited release with select customers. Check back soon for updates!

Toast Wholesale lets you set prices, take orders, send invoices and get paid in one place, streamlining processes for you and your customers. You can grant buyers access to Toast Supply, an online platform for them to manage their accounts payable. With Toast Wholesale Pro, Toast Supply becomes an ordering portal for your customers too.

Set up Toast Wholesale in this order: settings first, then customers, then price books. Each step below links to an article with the detailed steps.

Applies to: Toast Wholesale, Toast Wholesale Pro

What you'll accomplish: Configuring your Toast Wholesale settings, customers, and price books so you are ready to begin taking orders and payments from your customers.

Note: Your Retail Item Library needs to be built before creating Wholesale Price Books. For detailed steps, see Toast Retail: Set Up Your Item Catalog

Navigate to Toast Web > Wholesale > Settings. Settings has the following tabs.

Tab

What the tab controls

Payments

How customers pay at checkout

Ordering

Ordering profiles, fulfillment time, and inventory

Invoices

Custom fields

Note: Some tabs and options are enabled per account, so you may not see every one. Ordering profiles, inventory settings, and the Purchaser role require Toast Wholesale Pro.

Customers are company profiles with their own locations, contacts, payment terms, and notification recipients. You can also invite each customer to order and pay in Toast Supply. To open them, navigate to Toast Web > Wholesale > Customers.

Price books set company-specific pricing using formulas such as Cost + or Retail -, with item-level exceptions. After you publish a price book, assign it to companies or locations. To open them, navigate to Toast Web > Wholesale > Price Books.
