How do I build a menu for a deli or BBQ by the pound?

When creating your menu, enter the base price for a single unit (e.g. $8.00 for one 16 oz container of potato salad) or one pound (e.g. $10.00 for one pound of pulled pork). Then, in the Properties section on the item details page, select Yes for the Prompt for Quantity setting. This will ensure that every time the item is selected on the POS, a keypad will appear for the employee to enter the number of units they wish to add to an order (e.g. 2.5 pounds).
