Discounts need to be created on the Discounts and promo codes page in Toast Web. You can learn more about that here: Get Started With Discounts.
If you want to change the discount options (to allow to not allow discounts to be used) for a specific menu item, follow these steps:
In Toast Web, navigate to the menu item you'd like to edit.
Scroll down to the Discounting section.
For the Inherit Discount Config from Menu Group, select No, specify discount config here.
For the Can be discounted? setting, select your desired configuration. If you select No, this item will be included from any discounts.
