How do I assign a different course and/or prep station to a modifier option than the item that it's attached to?
Answer
To assign a different course and/or prep station to a modifier option than the item that it's attached to, follow these steps:
In Toast Web, navigate to Menus > Bulk management > Advanced properties.
Open the Show/Hide drop-down menu and ensure that Course and Prep Stations are selected from the available options.
Use the caret (arrow) icons to expand your menus, groups, subgroups, items, and modifier groups until you see the modifier you'd like to edit.
Now, you can use the Course and Prep Stations drop-downs to select the desired course/prep station you'd like to assign to an individual modifier.
Save and publish any changes.
Note: You can also edit the course assignment on the modifier details page . Navigate to the settings page for your desired modifier and select Edit Item next to the modifier name. Then, under the Preparation section, find the Inherit Course from Menu Group? setting and select No, specify course here. That will allow you to select the course you'd like to assign to that specific modifier.
