Question
How do I offer my guests the option to pick from two options for a menu item (for example, pick a half salad and a half sandwich)?

Answer
One way you can create a "you pick two" menu offering is to add the options for the "you pick two" combo as modifiers to a You Pick Two menu item. If you mark the modifier group as Required and set the Min # selections and Max # selections to 2, then guests will have to choose two options from the modifier group to order that menu item.
You use the New Modifier from Existing Item option to use items that are already featured elsewhere in your menus. Pricing strategy for a "you pick two" item will depend on your restaurant setup.
If all combinations are the same price, then you can set a price for the You Pick Two menu item itself and leave the modifier group pricing as "no charge". Otherwise, you can set unique prices per modifier as needed.
