ETS is introducing updates to the TOEFL iBT® test, including a new 1–6 score scale and adaptive testing features. These updates impact how score data will be exported and delivered via TOEFL Access.

Exported Files Update
TOEFL Access will provide exported files from the applicant’s dashboard that will reflect the iBT26 updates:
Applicant Score Reports – Includes individual applicant scores on the new 1–6 scale for Reading, Listening, Speaking, and Writing sections, plus total scores
Bulk Score Export – Download multiple applicant scores at once with updated score formatting and scale indicators
Score Detail Reports – Comprehensive reports showing section-level performance
CEFR Mapping Data – Updated alignment between TOEFL scores and Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) levels
Historical Comparison Files – Access to both legacy and new score formats during the transition period
