You can view and export data from your Assemblies using the normal Export panel. Assembly data follows the same grouping logic as other items, so if you've assigned classifications to breakdowns, that structure will apply to the Assembly components as well.
How to Export Assemblies Data
The Export panel turns your applied Assemblies into a Bill of Materials: an aggregated list of every material in your project, with quantities and costs, ready to export to Excel and hand straight to procurement or your estimating system.
Open the Export Panel
From your project, open the Export panel and enable Assembly mode
Click on the Group button
Toggle on "Show assembly components" to display the components inside each Assembly instead of the regular classification items.
You can group by multiple fields. For example, Group by Classification Type, Then by Classification Height and drag the fields to reorder the levels. Available grouping fields include Assembly, Assembly Type, Material, Classification Folder, Breakdown Tier, Drawing, and more.
Grouping by Material aggregates the same material across every classification it appears in one row per material instead of one row per formula
Use Expand all, Collapse all, or Expand groups only to control how much detail is shown
Toggle on Show total per group to see subtotals for each group
Choose Assembly Data to display
Click on the Columns button
Scroll down to find the Assembly properties
Columns are organized into sections:
Misc: Classification (always on), Cost Code, ID, Note, and Repeating Group
Assembly properties: Assembly Quantity, Assembly Unit Cost, Component Type, Material Cost, Waste Factor, Dimension columns, and your Formula columns
The Formula columns match the formulas in your assemblies — if your components use more formulas, more Formula options appear here. Toggling a formula on adds three columns to the export: the formula's title, its calculation, and its unit of measure.
Breakdown: Breakdown Tier, Item, and Subitem
Classification properties: Height, Length, Width, Thickness, Quantity fields, and unit/total cost
Units of measure: Area SF/SY, Linear FT/YD, Count, and Volume CF/CY
Toggle on the data fields you want to include in your export
Export as Usual
Once you’ve selected the data you need, export the file as normal. Then click "Columns" and scroll down to the assembly properties and toggle on the data you want to see. This can then be exported as normal.
What you see in the panel is what you get in the spreadsheet.
