Staged pairings are visible to program administrators but have not been released to mentors or mentees. They are a way to reserve the capacity of mentors/mentees while deliberating on the most appropriate matches. For example, if mentors can only take on 1 mentee, staging a pairing with that mentor will prevent the mentor from possibly being paired with a different mentee until the hold is lifted.
They can be found in the Pair Users page by navigating to Programs > Pairing > Pair Users.
With a staged pairing, you can move it into any of the following states:
- Discard (frees up capacity of mentor/mentee)
- Mentor approval (asks mentor for approval to start pairing)
- Active (starts pairing)
You can do so one-by-one, using the button in the row...
...or in bulk by selecting multiple staged pairings and using the "Perform bulk action" button:
