Trailing Drawdown: How It Works

The trailing drawdown for Instant Sim Funded Accounts is set at 4% of the starting balance for your account. It tracks the highest account balance achieved by the end of the day (5pm EST) and ensures traders remain within acceptable risk limits.

Here’s the breakdown by account size:

  • $25,000 Account: $1,000

  • $50,000 Account: $2,000

  • $100,000 Account: $4,000

  • $150,000 Account: $6,000

Key Points About Trailing Drawdown

  1. Dynamic Calculation:
The trailing drawdown moves up as your account balance reaches new highs but never moves down, even if your balance decreases.

  2. End of Day:
The drawdown is based on your highest closed balance by the end of the day (5pm EST), ensuring clarity and fairness.

  3. Account Breach:
If your balance falls below the trailing drawdown level, the account is considered breached and your account will be closed.

When Does My Drawdown Lock?

Once you reach the amount of your drawdown in profits plus $100, the drawdown locks in at your starting balance and no longer trails with your account growth.

Examples:

On a 25K account, your max drawdown is $1,000. Once your balance reaches $26,100, the drawdown locks at $25,100 and no longer trails.

On a 50K account, your max drawdown is $2,000. Once your balance reaches $52,100, the drawdown locks at $50,100 and no longer trails.

On a 100K account, your max drawdown is $4,000. Once your balance reaches $104,100, the drawdown locks at $100,100.

On a 150K account, your max drawdown is $6,000. Once your balance reaches $156,100, the drawdown locks at $150,100.
