At Top One Futures, it’s essential to understand the trading hours and automatic close out policy to trade responsibly and within platform rules.
When Can I Trade Futures?
You can place trades between 6:00 PM EST and 4:00 PM EST the next day, Monday through Friday.
There is a daily 1-hour break from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM EST, during which trading is paused. After the break, the next session opens.
For example:
The Monday session begins at 6:00 PM EST on Sunday and ends at 4:00 PM EST on Monday.
The Tuesday session begins at 6:00 PM EST on Monday, and so on.
The final session of the week ends at 4:00 PM EST on Friday. Markets reopen Sunday at 6:00 PM EST.
Are Trades Automatically Closed at 4:00 PM EST?
Yes. All open trades are automatically closed by 4:00 PM EST every trading day. This is part of Top One Futures’ strict risk management rules.
If a trader does not manually close their positions before 4:00 PM EST, the system will forcibly liquidate all open positions at that time.
Can I Keep Trading After 4:00 PM EST?
No. From 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM EST, trading is paused. You can resume trading when the next session opens at 6:00 PM EST.
Why Does This Rule Exist?
By enforcing the automatic close out of trades at 4:00 PM EST, Top One Futures helps traders avoid overnight risk and maintain discipline.
This rule supports safe, intraday trading practices and protects both the trader and the firm from unexpected market volatility.
