There are two main ways to set these levels:
By interacting directly with your open position on the chart
By enabling automatic bracket orders with predefined risk and profit targets
🖱️ Option 1: Add TP/SL from an Active Chart Position
If you already have an open position displayed on your chart, you can quickly add a TP or SL order directly from it.
Here’s how:
Click on the position marker on your chart.
Drag upward to place a Take Profit, or drag downward to place a Stop Loss (for long positions).
(For short positions, drag in the opposite direction.)Release to place the order at your desired price level.
Once your TP/SL orders are placed, you can manage them directly from the chart:
Drag to adjust the price level
Click the “X” on your TP/SL Order if you want to cancel it
This gives you a quick and visual way to control risk and lock in gains as the market moves.
⚙️ Option 2: Use Bracket Orders for Automatic TP/SL
For automated risk management, you can apply TP and SL levels using bracket orders.
Here’s how to enable them:
Open Position Risk / Profit Brackets (To access this, click the large gear icon (Settings) on the left sidebar of your platform. Then navigate to Risk Settings, and you’ll find it under Global Risk Settings.)
Enter your preferred Risk and Profit values (in dollar amounts)
Enable the option:
✅ “Automatically apply Risk / Profit bracket to new Positions”
With this setting turned on, every new position will automatically include TP and SL levels based on the values you define — no manual input needed.
Bracket settings apply across all accounts by default once enabled.
🧮 Note:
Bracket settings are calculated based on dollar value, not points. For example:
If your profit target is set to $200 and you enter 1 NQ contract, your TP will be placed 10 points from your entry.
If you enter 2 contracts with the same $200 target, your TP will be set at 5 points, because each additional contract reduces the number of points needed to reach your profit goal.
This ensures the system adjusts the bracket to match your dollar target, no matter how many contracts you’re trading.
