What is a Reset?

Hit the limit? That's okay. Here's your fresh start.

The Basics

A Reset returns your Trading Combine® (TC) to its original starting balance — Account Balance, Maximum Loss Limit (MLL), Consistency Target, and trading days all go back to day one.

When to Reset

Hit the Maximum Loss Limit? Account becomes ineligible for funding. Reset it now — or wait for a Reset Credit at your next Rebill.

✌️ Reset your active Trading Combine subscription any time. Limit: 2 Resets per account each day.

Resets and Your Rebill Date

Resetting your account pushes your Rebill date out 30 days from the date of purchase.

👉 Example: Rebill Aug 30 → Reset purchased (or Reset Credit applied) Aug 25 → new Rebill date Sep 25.

Reset Credits

Every monthly Rebill adds 1 Reset Credit to your Reset Bank. Works exactly like a purchased Reset — including the 30-day Rebill push.

Reset Credits stay on your profile, even if you cancel the associated subscription. Available for a new Trading Combine you buy in the future.

Rules:

  • Tied to a specific account size AND type (Standard, No Activation Fee, or DLL)

  • Credits issued before 12/11/2025 — no expiration

  • Credits issued on or after 12/11/2025 — expire 1 year after added

  • Can't transfer between types or sizes

  • Can't combine (two 50K credits can't Reset a 100K)

  • Can't use credits to buy a new TC — only on an existing active subscription

  • Oldest matching credit will be used first

Reset FAQs

Can I Reset an Express Funded Account (XFA) or Live Funded Account (LFA)?

No. Resets only work on active Trading Combine subscriptions. For Express Funded Accounts, use Back2Funded. Learn more →

Does a Reset change my Rebill date?

Yes. Applying a Reset pushes your Rebill date out 30 days from the purchase date.

Can I get a refund for a purchased Reset, or reverse an applied Reset Credit?

No. Once Reset, it's done. Always double-check the account number before confirming. If your account was in profit before the Reset and no trades were placed after, Support may adjust your new profit target.

How do I apply a Reset?

Dashboard → select the active Trading Combine → click Reset → confirm. Eligible credits show automatically. No matching credit? Purchase one directly.

Is a Reset the same as Back2Funded?

No. Resets are for active Trading Combine subscriptions. Back2Funded reactivates a lost Express Funded Account for a fee. Learn more →

How do I get a free Reset?

Topstep sometimes offers free Resets on TopstepTV and through the newsletter. Subscribe to stay in the loop.
