If you are stuck in a trade or want to exit all your positions at once, the instructions below will guide you through how to flatten your trades.
Flattening your positions will flatten all open/working orders on the specified account.
Flattening all open orders will not flatten your orders on other accounts. Make sure you're flattening orders on the right account before taking action.
TopstepX
On the TopstepX platform, you can flatten your trades in two different ways. Follow these steps to flatten your positions in TopstepX:
Flattening from the Order Ticket
Step 1: Log in to TopstepX. (Use the same information associated with your Topstep.com account.)
Step 2: To flatten from the Order Ticket, click "Flatten All"
Step 3: If you have Order Confirmations on, you'll see the following pop-up. Click "Confirm" to continue.
✅Pro Tip: Regardless of whether or not you have Order Confirmations on, you'll see a pop-up on the bottom left side of your screen indicating that any working orders have been filled. If you do not see this, then you don't have any open orders.
Flattening all open trades/positions will NOT flatten your trades on other accounts. Make sure you're flattening trades on the correct account before taking action.
Flattening from the DOM
Step 1: Log in to TopstepX. (Use the same information associated with your Topstep.com account.)
Step 2: To flatten from the DOM, click "Flatten All"
Step 3: If you have Order Confirmations on, you'll see the following pop-up. Click "Confirm" to continue.
Regardless of whether or not you have Order Confirmations on, you'll see a pop-up on the bottom left side of your screen indicating that any working orders have been filled. If you do not see this, then you don't have any open orders.
Flattening all open trades/positions will NOT flatten your trades on other accounts. Make sure you're flattening trades on the correct account before taking action.
Rithmic
Platforms on the Rithmic Data Feed: NinjaTrader, Quantower, RTrader Pro, ATAS, MotiveWave, VolFix, Bookmap, Investor/RT, Jigsaw Daytradr, MultiCharts, Sierra Chart, and Trade Navigator
Follow these steps to flatten your positions in Rithmic:
Step 1: Download Rithmic Platform/Rithmic Mobile as optional.
Step 2: Log in to Rithmic with your credentials
Step 3: Click the “Positions” icon
Step 4: Click the “X” to close your trade(s).
Step 5: Click “OK” to confirm, making sure to verify you're flattening positions on the correct account
Step 6: Confirm again -- the “X” turns to grey before closing the application.

Tradovate/CQG
Follow these steps to flatten your positions in Tradovate:
Step 1: Login to your Topstep platform
Step 2: Click the "Launch Tradovate" button
Step 3: Log in to Tradovate with your credentials
Step 4: Select Simulated trading
Step 5: Click the Equity and P&L
Step 6: Click Exit All Positions Cancel All
Flattening all open trades/positions will NOT flatten your trades on other accounts. Make sure you're flattening trades on the correct account before taking action.
