What does the project profit dashboard report show.

The project profit reports allows you to see, at a glance, how profitable your projects are month by month.

Y axis: The Y axis shows the monetary value or the invoice or profit bars in 100k intervals.

X axis: The X Axis shows the figures for the previous year in bi-monthly increments.

Blue bar: This shows the invoice amount excluding tax for that month.

Green bar : This shows the profit figure for that month.

How is the project profit report calculated?

Invoice: The total ex tax amount of invoices whose date falls into that month, excluding draft and cancelled invoices.

Profit: The profit is calculated using Actual costs. This amount is calculated as: (Invoiced amount - transactions actual cost).

The Actual Cost is from transactions that fall within the month (based on the transaction date), whose status are either: Invoiced, Written off, Draft, or WIP. This does NOT include transactions on the Internal project.

Tooltips

Hover over the invoiced or profit bars to bring up the tooltip.

The tooltip shows the year, month, the value invoiced during that month or the profit value that month.

All projects vs My projects

Use the dropdown menu on the top right hand side of the project profit to switch between the All projects view and My projects view.

All Projects: This will show the project profit for all projects in the organisation.

My projects: This will only show the project profit for projects that you are the project manager of .

How often does the project profit dashboard report update?

The project profit dashboard report updates hourly.
