Add My First Client

This is a tutorial on how to register your first client on TotalCoaching

First, make sure you're on the Supervisor side.

In order to be able to coach your client on TotalCoaching you first need to add him/her to your account:

  1. Go to the Clients section and click on the + button.

If you don't have any client yet, you will be able to add yourself as a test client to be able to build programs for yourself and experience how it looks like from a client view.

2. You can - Add yourself as a test client by clicking on the link below the Save New Client button

Or - Enter your client information (First Name, Last Name, Email)

Temporary password (optional)

The password field enables you to set up a temporary password for your client. That means he won't have to wait for an email invitation to activate his account. All he needs to do is to go to the Login page and enter his email address and temporary password.

Additional Information (optional)

TotalCoaching gives you a few more options when adding a new client:

  1. Group: in case you have multiple groups of clients, this field enables you to choose which group your client will belong to.

  2. Expiration date: the expiration date determines when your client will lose access to his account. If you don't want him to expire, just leave that field blank.

  3. Add questionnaires to fill out: if you want your client to complete a questionnaire as part of the account activation process.

  4. Add templates to user: if you want to assign a template to your client.

  5. Send an email invitation: by default your client will receive an email invitation to activate his account. If you don't want him to (i.e you've set a temporary password), just uncheck that checkbox.

  6. Welcome message: this will be the first message your client will see when he first enters his account. Make sure to customize it!

Once you're done, click on "Save new client"

Et voilà! Your client should receive an email invitation to activate his account a few minutes later but you can start assigning programs right away.

Why does my client appear in the list of "Pending clients"?

For as long as your client hasn't activated his account, he appears in the list of "Pending clients". Once that activation process is completed, he'll move up to the list of "Active clients".

To speed up the process, here are a few ways:

  1. If you gave him a temporary password, simply invite him to go to the login page (www.totalcoaching.com/login), and use that temporary password. We'll then ask him to choose a real password for himself.

  2. You can use the menu option on the right side of your client name to resend the invitation, or to get his activation link and share that link with him directly.
