What this allows you to do

You can share only part of your guide with guests.

This is useful if you want to:

  • Send local area recommendations before arrival

  • Share helpful information without revealing check-in details

  • Keep sensitive content (like door codes) private

  • Give guests a preview of your guide

Step 1: Choose what to show

First, decide which parts of your guide you want to share.

You can control this by locking or unlocking content.

  • Unlock the content you want guests to see

  • Keep the rest locked

For example, you may want to:

  • Show local area, restaurants, and tips

  • Hide check-in instructions or access details

How to lock or unlock content

Option 1: Categories or Subcategories

Use this if you want to lock or limit entire sections of your guide.

  • Click the three dots next to the category or subcategory

  • Change the access level

Option 2: Topics

Use this if you only want to lock or limit a specific topic.

  • Click the lock icon next to the topic

  • Black lock = locked

  • Transparent lock = visible

💡 Tip

You can combine both options to control exactly what guests can see.

Step 2: Create your guide link

There are two ways to generate your guide link, depending on what you want to share.

Option 1: Share your full guide

Use the Quick Share link if:

  • You don’t have any locked sections

  • You want to share your entire guide

Steps:

  1. Go to the Guides page

  2. Find your guide and click the three dots

  3. Click Copy Share Link

💡 Tip

This link will show everything that is currently unlocked.

Option 2: Share a limited version of your guide (recommended)

Use an Invitation link if:

  • You want to share only part of your guide

  • You want to keep some content private

Steps:

  1. Go to the Message Hub page

  2. Click the Invitations tab

  3. Click Invite by Link

  4. Select your guide

Add a name in the First Name and Surname fields

    • 💡 Tip: Use something like “Website Preview” so you can recognise this link later

  5. Set an Arrival date and Departure date far in the future

  6. Set Lead Time to No

  7. Click Submit

  8. Copy the link provided

This creates a unique guide link showing only the content you’ve chosen to display.

When to use each option

  • Want to share everything → use Quick Share link

  • Want to share only part of your guide → use the invitation link

Notes

  • If you change what is locked or unlocked, this will update what guests see

  • If you want a completely different version of your guide (e.g. public vs guest), you may want to create a second guide
