Why does Touchplan say my tickets are too far away to place a ticket?

Tickets are too far away from each other if there is a six-month gap or more between the placed tickets and the tickets you're adding.

How do I add a ticket?

Click into a phase plan and select the Task Ticket (Square) in the bottom right-hand corner.

How do I edit a ticket?

Click into an individual ticket to open its editing window to change its location, description, crew size, duration, or workdays. Once you are finished editing the ticket click "Save".

How do I add a predecessor?

Click on the successor ticket and right-click on the intended predecessor ticket. Select “Set as Predecessor” to link the two tickets together.

How do I remove a predecessor?

Right-click on the predecessor ticket, and select “Remove Predecessor” to unlink the two tickets together.

How do I add a predecessor? (IPAD)

Click into the intended successor tickets, then use two fingers to double click the predecessor ticket. Select "Set As Predecessor" and then click "Save" when done.

How do I remove a predecessor? (IPAD)

Click into an individual ticket that a predecessor is pointing to, then double click with two fingers on the ticket from which the predecessor is extending from. Select "Remove Predecessor" and then click "Save" when done.

How do I select multiple tickets in my plan?

Click and hold the cursor on your screen. Once you see a blue dot, hold and drag your cursor over the group of tickets you want to select.

How do I change the workday schedule for an individual task ticket?

Click to open a task ticket's edit window. Toggle the green lights above the ticket on or off to indicate if work is planned to happen on that day (Green= Workday, White= Non-workday). Click "Save" when done.

How do I copy tickets between plans?

To copy and move tickets between plans, start by multi-selecting the group you want to copy. The Multi-Select window will pop up, in which you can select "Copy to Clipboard". The tickets will now be in the drafts area, regardless of which plan you are working on.

How do I change my password?

Go to account settings and type your new password in the ‘New Password’ area (you’re going to have to retype this new password as well).

What do I do if I haven't received the email invite for a project?

Even if you haven’t received an email invite for the project, you may have still been added to the project. To check this, log into your Touchplan account and the project should be on the left-hand side of your screen. If it doesn’t show up there, you most likely were invited with a different email so you should contact your direct supervisor.

What do I do if I forgot my email?

Select "Forgot Password?" on the Login page and contact your direct supervisor to see what email they signed you up with.

What Browsers does Touchplan work in?

Touchplan works in the following browsers:

Why can't I move a ticket in Touchplan?

You are unable to move a ticket in Touchplan because the plan has been locked by an admin user or your role permissions do not allow you to access this ticket.

Why can't I see a project on my Touchplan?

You cannot see a project for a few possible reasons. One is that you created your account with a different email than what you were invited with. Another potential reason is that the project has been archived.
