Q: I am running a 36-hole individual stroke play tournament. After the first round, we split the field into flights depending on their Round 1 Scores. Is it possible to automatically create flights based on the results shown on the leaderboard?
A: Yes, it is. to do so follow the directions below:
Go to Golfers > Divisions/Flights Teams > Manage Flighted Golfers.
Select "Auto Fill Flights."
Select to flight by "Tournament Results."
Then select the tournament to be used when creating the flights (as shown below).
Select how many flights are to be created or how many players per flight.
Click Next, then follow the prompts to finalize the flights.
Important Note: After the flights are created, make sure to change your tournament from player v field to player v flight so the leaderboard is flighted for the remainder of the round.
Note: It is not possible to flight by results for Gross/Net bias tournaments because there are gross and net results. You can, however, manually create the flights. Create a separate gross or net tournament (depending on which you'd like to use to flight the players), score it, then use those results to manually create the flights based on the results of the selected tournament.
