Using GGIDs for a Golf Trip

Updated over 4 months ago

This article is intended for the users of the following products:

GGIDs are unique IDs that identify specific trips and foursomes. There are two types of GGIDs that we suggest using for your trip.

  • Trip GGID

  • Foursome GGID

Each type can serve a different purpose for your trip. In this article, we will discuss how you can use these GGIDs to enhance the trip experience.

Trip GGID:

The Trip GGID is considered the "general" trip login that can be used before, during, and after your trip. We suggest this type of GGID for the following cases:

  • To allow players to log in to the mobile app to view the leaderboard and portal (but not enter scores). For instance, players who are not responsible for entering scores on the course may want to log in with the Trip GGID to view the live leaderboard.

  • To allow your players to access private pages (if any) on your trip portal when viewing on the computer.

The Trip GGID can be found by going to Trip > Trip Profile > General Settings. You can also email your players the Trip GGID (along with the trip portal address) by going to Trip > Send Portal Information to Golfers.

Foursome GGID:

Every foursome for every round on your trip is assigned a Foursome GGID. These GGIDs should be assigned to the scorer for every foursome. When using this GGID to log in, the scorer will have the ability to enter scores and view the leaderboard.

Foursome GGIDs can be found on your printed scorecards. If you are not printing scorecards, you can print the Multi-Round Tee Sheet instead (which includes the Foursome GGIDs for the entire trip). For more information on the printed material needed for your trip, Click Here.
