Golf Leagues and weekly groups are a popular part of the golf environment as they provide a great way to combine the social and competitive aspects of the game.
There are many different variations of leagues, including the best team players league. Best Team Player Leagues are common with leagues with large teams (5+ players) that play head-to-head matchups based on a round-robin schedule. The competition counts a certain number of individual gross and/or net scores from each team. For
example, you may have a league with teams of 10, and the competition takes the three best gross scores and the two best net scores to determine the matchup winner.
In most cases, every team will play a match against every other team at least once by the end of the season. If there are 16 teams in the league, it will take 15 weeks to complete the "perfect" round-robin schedule. However, a perfect round-robin schedule is not always used. You can have any combination of teams and rounds, and the best possible round-robin schedule will be created.
