Default Tee by Gender for a Course

Updated over 4 months ago

In many cases a club will have a tee commonly used by women and men. For instance, most women may play the red tees and most men may play the blue tees. When setting tees for a round, it can sometimes be time consuming to set them on the correct tees while editing the pairings. To expedite the process, and save you time, we suggest setting default tees by gender for the course.

In this article, we will discuss how to select the default gender tees for the course and apply them to your pairings.

Selecting Default Gender Tees for the Course:

To select the default tees by gender, follow these instructions:

  1. Go to Customer Center > Customer Settings > Course Details.

  2. Edit your course.

  3. Select the default tees by gender (as shown below).

  4. Save the changes.

Keep in mind that in order for this option to work, each player in your master roster needs to be assigned a gender.

Setting Players on Gender Default Tees:

When the default tees are set, and the gender is assigned to your players, you will then see the option to select the default tee in the following scenarios:

  • Edit Round Pairings (shown below)

  • Bracket Tournament Setup (shown below)

  • Round Robin Setup (shown below):

  • Create Flight by Course Handicap (shown below):

You can also override the Gender Default tees by using Player Default tees. Player Default tees are assigned individually at the player level. For instance, you may allow men over the age of 80 to play a more forward tee than the Men's Default tee.
