Printing Brackets

Updated over 4 months ago

This feature is available for the following products:

When setting up a bracket tournament, there are a couple options for printing the actual bracket. You can 1) print our standard brackets or 2) download a Publisher template bracket. In this article, we will discuss both options.

Printing the Standard Bracket:

We offer the ability to print a standard format bracket. This is a quick and easy way to print a bracket. After a bracket tournament is created, go to Event/League > Bracket Tournaments. Click "Print" for the bracket tournament that you'd like to print for (as shown below).

Select the brackets to print (as shown below).

Would you like the bracket printed from the left or right side of the paper? For instance, if the bracket is to be printed from the left, The first round matches will be listed on the far left and they will continue to the center of the page as the matches progress to future rounds.

Note: For Brackets with "1 region of 64 players," tournaments of this size you will be able to define printing the first half (32 players) and second half (32 players) from the left or right, as each half will be print on separate pieces of paper.

You can choose "Left or Right" for every bracket tournament in the event as well as every region within each bracket tournament. Each region will be printed on a separate page so you can paste each page next to each other on a board or wall at the club.

Then, select the printing options (as shown below).

  • Page Size and Orientation: Print in Portrait or Landscape mode on 8.5 x 11 paper. Printing in Portrait mode will allow more matches on a single page. Printing in Landscape will allow more rounds to be displayed. You will also have the option to print on 11.5x17 paper and Poster paper, which is used for large format plotter printers, in landscape mode. All the brackets will be included on the one page in landscape mode using the larger format pages.

  • Header Options: If you are printing US-Letter Portrait or 11.5x17 inch Landscape, you can include a header at the top of each page that includes logos or images. The first option will place the event name, subtitle (if entered) in the center of the header. The event logo will be placed on the left and right side of the header (as shown below).

  • If you prefer to add your own images, you will have an option for custom images. Further, you can include the header on all the pages or if you chose remove the header from all pages.

  • Printing Round Name or Round Date: This option allows you to display the round name and/or date printed above or below the bracket for each round. The bracket shown below has the round names listed above the brackets. This formatting option will also be used if you are displaying the bracket on the TV Display.

  • Print Championship Bracket: If there are multiple regions where the region winners play in a championship bracket, you can choose to print the championship bracket on a separate page or include it on the same page as the first region. In the example below, the championship bracket is displayed below a regional bracket in a 4-region bracket tournament.

  • Show Starting Times: Depending on when you are printing your brackets, you have the ability to determine if only current and future round starting times are displayed or all round starting times are displayed on the printout. If the final round of the bracket is 36 holes, you also have the ability to display the second 18 holes starting time (as shown below).

  • Styling: This option gives you the choice to highlight the winners or not on the printed bracket report.

Publisher Template Brackets:

If you have Microsoft Publisher, you can download Bracket Templates to be used to print. This is a great solution for those who would like the ability to customize their bracket (e.g., make the text larger). To access these templates go to Rounds > Report Center > New Document > New Publisher Scoreboard > Brackets. Select the proper template (We currently do not have 64 singles bracket or 32 team bracket), download the template, download the data spreadsheet, and merge the files.
