Q: We created a custom report for our leagues to utilize, but we do not want them to make changes to it. Can we lock the report to ensure no changes can be made to the report we created?
A: If you would like to restrict who can modify a report you created in the Report Center, you have the ability to restrict who can modify reports by setting them as Report Templates. Once a report is configured as a template, the available option are restricted based on managers permissions.
Setting Manager Permissions:
You can set which managers have permission to modify report templates. Report permission are restricted to the follow manager types:
Customer Manager Admins
Customer Managers
Tour Managers: Tour Managers are only able to access Reports marked as a Template inside the managed Tour
Only Customer Manager Admins can edit the list of users able to modify a report once marked as a Template. If you are customer manager admin and would like to set manager permissions, follow these directions:
If necessary, contact support to have this feature enabled.
From the customer center, go to Season Management > Report Center > Permissions (as shown below).
βCheck the box next to the name for managers that you would like to have permission to edit and uncheck the box next to the name for manage who should NOT have permission to edit report templates.
Click "Save" to ensure all changes are made.
Mark Report as Template:
When editing a report, customer managers with permission have the option to mark a report as a template (as shown below).
To mark a report as a template, follow these directions:
Edit an existing report or create a new report.
In the section Report Templates, enable to toggle to "Yes" to makre the report as a template.
Click "Save" to ensure all changes are made.
Once the report has been marked as a templete, the available options for individuals without permissions will be restricted to:
Print: When printing a report, the configuration pop-up does not overwrite the original report configuration.
Copy: When copying a report, the clone is placed within the Event/League cateogry and is no longer considered a template. The original document remain unchanged.
