Sometimes you may want to create pairings without using our Automatic Scheduler. You know exactly who is going to play with who. When this is the case, you can create pairings manually.
To do this, go to Rounds > Create New Pairings > Manual Pairings.
After selecting "Manual Pairings", at least one of the following options will be available.
Create Manual Foursomes by Player
Create Manual Foursomes by Two-Person Teams
Create Manual Foursomes by Other Teams (Larger than 2-Person Teams).
If you do not have teams set up, then the last two options will not be available.
In this article, we will discuss how to create manual pairings for a round.
Manual Pairings by Player:
When selecting this option, you can manually create pairings by selecting individual players one at a time. Follow these instructions:
Use the "Sort by" dropdown to select the order in which you'd like the available players sorted.
Select "Show only confirmed" in cases where you only want the players confirmed for the round (Rounds > Round Player Roster) to be available.
Filter by division or flight (if necessary).
Select the players (they will highlight) that should be included in the first pairing group. The order in which you click them will be the order they are organized within the pairing group.
Click "Create Pairing".
Select the players that should be included in the second pairing group.
Click "Create Pairing".
Repeat the process until all players and pairing groups are created.
Click "Next"
Click "Continue".
The process is shown below:
It is also important to note that the players do not need to be in foursomes. You can also create twosomes or threesomes. Simply click on the 2 or 3 players and click "Create Pairing".
Once all the pairings are created, Click "Next" on the bottom right.
Manual Pairings by Two-Person Teams:
When there are two-person teams created in the round, you can create manual pairings by these teams. To do this, follow these instructions:
Select "Create Manual Foursomes by 2-Person Teams".
Select the team list.
Select the two teams in the first foursome (they will highlight)
Click "Create Pairing".
Repeat the previous two steps until all foursomes are created.
Click "Save".
Click "Next".

Manual Pairings by Other Teams:
If you want also create pairings using a team list where the team sizes are larger than 2. The available players will then be organized by team for your convenience. This is a popular method when creating pairings for Ryder Cup events. To do this, follow these instructions:
Select "Create Manual Foursomes by Other Teams".
Select the team list.
Select the available sort options.
Select "Show only confirmed" in cases where you only want the players confirmed for the round (Rounds > Round Player Roster) to be available.
Select the players to be added to the first pairing group. Remember to click on the players in the proper order. For instance, say the order you clicked the players was Benson, Berry, Hill, and Good. If they were playing singles matches, Benson would be playing Hill (player in position 1 plays against player in position 3) and Berry will be playing Good (player in position 2 plays against player in position 4).
Click "Create Pairing".
Repeat the previous two steps until all pairing groups are created.
Click "Save".
Click "Next".
