9 & 18-hole Total Score Entry (No Hole-by-Hole Scores)

Updated over 4 months ago

When entering scores for a round, you can:

  • Enter hole-by-hole scores

  • 9-hole totals

  • 18-hole totals

Entering 9-hole totals and 18-hole totals may be quicker, but it also has its disadvantages. In this article, we will discuss the option to enter 9-hole totals and 18-hole totals.

Disadvantages of entering 9-hole and 18-hole totals:

The disadvantages of entering 9-hole and 18-hole totals are:

  • You are restricted to Stroke Play and Stableford Tournaments. If you are playing a Stableford competition, you will enter the player's 9 or 18 hole Stableford score. Match play, Quota, and everything else requires hole-by-hole scores.

  • You cannot score team tournaments where multiple scores are used for a hole (e.g., best ball of four, Four-Ball, Advanced Balls etc).

  • You cannot post scores to your handicap service provider.

  • The Course Analytics Portal Page and Player Analytics Portal Page requires hole-by-hole scores to compute their statistics. If using 9-hole or 18-hole score entry, these statistics cannot be computed.

  • Mobile app score entry cannot be used.

Enabling 9 or 18 hole score entry:

If you'd like to enable this type of score entry for an entire event or league, go to Event//League > Event/League Profile > Tournaments & Scoring. To enable this type of score entry for a specific round within a league or event, go to Rounds > Round Profile > Tournaments & Scoring, as shown below:
