When setting up a "Team (all) v." tournament, you may notice there is an option in the Balls Menu to select "9/16/25." This format is a team-based tournament (usually of teams of 5 or more players) that the Southern California Golf Association commonly uses. Players will play in pairing 2, 3, 4, or 5 with players from other teams. After each hole, a set number of points is distributed to all the players in that pairing group depending on what place they finished on that hole.
In this article, we will discuss the tournament setup (e.g., creating teams, creating pairings, tournament, etc.) and the breakdown of the point combination for payout on each hole.
Event Setup:
Create Teams:
After you have added players to the event, the first step is to create teams. For complete details on creating teams, Click Here. In the case of this format, most likely, you will need to create manually teams or teams based on a custom field if you loaded players via spreadsheet. To do so, go to Golfers > Event/League Divisions/Flights/Teams > Manage Team Lists > Add New Team List (as shown below).
Create Pairings:
Once you have created your teams, you will then want to create your pairings. In the case of this format, you will probably need to create pairing manually to get one player from each team in each pairing group.
To do so, go to Round > Create New Pairings.
In Step 1, select "Manual Pairings - set the pairing yourself."
In Step 2, choose the "Create Manual Poursomes by other Team" option and select your team list. This will allow you to see the players grouped as teams and sort them as you see fit (as shown below).
Click "Next" and complete the pairing process.

Create Tournament:
After teams and pairings are created, you can now set up your tournament. To set up your tournament, follow these instructions:
Go to Round > Tournament > Add New Tournament.
Select the Team List you previously created.
Set the tee sheet as "may or may not be physically organized by team."
Set the Competition to "Team (all) v. field/flight."
Set the Balls to "9 / 16 / 26."
Give the tournament a name and make any additional adjustments as necessary.
The below is an example setup of this format for your guidance.
Enter Scores and Viewing Leaderboard:
Enter Scores as you normally would by going to Round > Enter Scores. View the leaderboard with scores entered by going to Round > Display Leaderboard (as shown below).
Breakdown of Point Payout:
After each hole, a set number of points is distributed to all the players in that pairing group depending on the size of the pairing group (2 to 5 players) and what place they finished within that pairing group on the hole. The hole points are then tallied at the end of the round. Within the pairing group and dependant on a player's total points at the end of the round, they will receive a set number of team points, which will then be aggregated for a team total. The team with the most points at the end of the round wins the tournament.
Groups of Five:
The format of each match for the groups of five is a 25 point game within each pairing group of five
players. The possible combinations for points scored on each hole are: 9-7-5-3-1, 9-7-5-2-2, 9-7-3-

The point winner within each pairing group at the end of the round receives 9 points for the team;
2nd place point total within the pairing group receives 7 points for the team;
3rd place point total within the pairing group receives 5 points for the team;
