A great way to connect your leaderboards to a TV is by using an Amazon Fire TV Stick. You can "fling" (connect) a round leaderboard to a TV using a Round GGID or TV Show GGID on the Fire TV Stick.
Using this device with a TV streamlines the entire process of displaying your leaderboards on a TV. This device includes a remote that allows you to easily control the TV display settings and enter the GGID.
In this article, we will discuss how you can set up, display, and manage leaderboards using the Amazon Fire TV Stick. You can also watch the instruction video below.
Requirements
To display a leaderboard on a TV using a Fire TV Stick, the following is required:
Fire TV Stick (purchased from Amazon.com)
TV with HDMI port
Wireless internet
Golf Genius Mobile App, Round GGID, or TV Show GGID
Note: The Golf Genius TV Display app is supported on newer Fire TV Sticks running Vega OS and older models running Fire OS (Android-based). The correct version automatically installs on your device.
Setting up the Fire TV Stick

Adding the Golf Genius TV Display App to the Fire TV Stick
After setting up the Fire TV Stick, navigate to the home page of your Amazon Fire TV and select the search icon in the top-left corner (as shown below). If you don't see this icon, press left on the remote and it should appear.
Search the Amazon Fire App Store for the Golf Genius TV Display app. Using the navigation wheel on the remote, select the letters on the on-screen keyboard to find the app (as shown below).
Download the free Golf Genius TV Display app (as shown below).
Note: If you receive an error message stating that the app cannot be downloaded, you may need to enable downloads from outside sources first. To do this, navigate to Home > Settings > Device > Developer Options > Apps from Unknown Sources.
Connecting a Leaderboard Using Round GGID or TV Show GGID
To display a TV Display Leaderboard or TV Show Leaderboard on the TV using a GGID, follow these directions:
Turn on the TV and open Fire TV.
Select the Golf Genius TV Display app on the Fire TV home screen. Note: You may need to navigate to the apps page if it's not on the home screen.
Press "Select" on the remote to bypass connecting to a mobile device and enter the Round GGID.
Enter the Round GGID or TV Show GGID (Click Here for instructions on finding the Round GGID. Click Here for instructions on finding the TV Show GGID).
Click "Go."
The leaderboard will then be displayed on the TV. At this point, no further action is needed, and the leaderboard will remain connected to the TV.
Controlling the Display Settings
After a TV Display Leaderboard is connected, press any button on the remote to show the control bar at the bottom of the screen (as shown below). On the Fire TV Stick, "Close" replaces the Pause and Fullscreen buttons. The control bar hides again after 10 seconds without a button press. Use the Fire TV Stick remote to control the TV Display (as shown below). Note: Remotes look different depending on the model, but the buttons work the same way.
Move between buttons and settings: Press "Up," "Down," "Left," or "Right" on the navigation wheel.
Select a button: Press "Select."
Change a setting: In Settings, press "Up" or "Down" to move between settings, then "Left" or "Right" to change the value. Changes apply right away.
Pause or resume the display: Press "Play/Pause."
Move to the next page: Press "Fast Forward."
Return to the previous page: Press "Rewind."
Close a panel: Press "Back."
Exit the TV Display: Select "Close" on the control bar, or press "Home."
Notes:
On the Fire TV Stick, changes to Banner, Logo, Ticker Display, Banner Height, Summaries, the header, the watermark and background, and Manage Pages apply on that TV until it reloads. They are not saved for the Event/League. To save them for every screen, make the changes in a web browser.
Select a Round, "Add Page," "Edit page," and "Switch to the classic TV display" are not available on the Fire TV Stick, and player scorecards cannot be opened with the remote.
Managing Multiple Fire TV Sticks
To increase leaderboard exposure, you can display leaderboards on multiple TVs. To do this, connect a separate Fire TV Stick to each TV. You can then use the connection method described above to connect the leaderboards to the Round GGID or TV Show GGID.
