Manual Cut Lines provide unparalleled flexibility for tournament managers in handling multi-round events with cut lines. The Manual Cut Lines with Bulk Changes introduces a new cut adjustment option, enabling managers to manually override the automated cut line, when the round is marked as "Completed."

For example, multi-round tournaments utilize cut lines to narrow the field, ensuring only top performers advance. However, certain situations demand a more nuanced approach:

  • Playoff Scenarios: Deciding who advances based on playoffs.

  • Multi-Cut Criteria (Equity for Participants): Ensuring representation across diverse skill levels, the Adaptive Open exemplifies the need for flexible cut line management. To guarantee all impairment categories are represented in the final round with a realistic chance of winning, the competition is structured with two cut criteria:

    • Overall Tournament Cut (R2): Top 10-20 golfers + ties.

    • Impairment Category Cut (R2): Top 2-3 golfers + any golfer within five shots of the leader in their category.

The Manual Cut Lines feature allows you to manually mark golfers as having made or not made the cut, accommodating such intricate scenarios and ensuring fairness and accurate categorization of players eligible for upcoming rounds. Further, the leaderboard dynamically updates to reflect these manual adjustments and seamlessly integrates with subsequent rounds.

In this article, we will discuss how to set up manual cut lines and make changes to the leaderboard.
