This article is intended for the users of the following products:
Golf Genius Golf Hub
Once your event is created, the next step is deciding who can register and what they'll pay. Golf Genius Golf Hub walks you through registration limits, pricing, and add-ons on the same live-preview setup screen you used to create your event.
In this article, we will discuss how to set registration limits, closing dates, entry fee options, add-ons, and payment collection.
Navigation to Registration Setup
You can reach Registration Setup one of two ways:
Clicking "Save & Continue" on the page when creating your event/league.
Returning to it later from your Dashboard. Locate your event in the My Events table and click "Set up" in the Registration column (as shown below).
Registration Setup uses the same two-panel layout as Setup: your settings on the left, outline later in this article, and a live preview of your Golf Hub page on the right (as shown below).
Note: "Save" stays disabled until a number for allowed golfers per registration is entered.
Registration (Status)
Note: This option is not displayed until the Registration Setup is saved for the first time.
Registration can be enabled/disabled at any time for the event/league Setup Page, regardless of the published status of the Golf Genius Golf Hub Page (as shown below).
Registration Setup
The Registration Setup section covers who can register and until when (as shown below).
To complete the Registration Setup section, fill out the following:
Player Limit: Enter the maximum number of golfers who can register.
Golfers allowed per registration: Select the number of possible registrants per registration. For example, for a two-person team event requiring both players to register simultaneously, only check the two.
Registration closing date: Select the date and time after which registration closes.
Entry Fee
The Entry Fee section covers your registration pricing options and any add-ons (as shown below).
Note: Saved registration options and add-ons appear in their own tables. Each row includes a menu with Edit and Delete options. Editing or deleting a registration option or add-on after registration has opened can remove any ongoing registrations tied to it.
To complete the Entry Fee section, fill out the following:
Registration Options: Next to Registration Options, click "Add." In the pop-up, set the following (as shown below):
Name: Name of the Registration Option.
Registrations: Set the permissible number of golfers per the registration option. Note: If you allow multiple golfers per registration, you must set a registration option for each number of golfers selected. For example, if you allow registration in teams of two and four, you will need two registration options.
Price: Enter the registration fee for this option, based on the team size selected under Registrations.
Description (Optional): Display a short description of the registration option in Golf Hub.
Note: Registration options cannot be priced at $0.
Add-ons: Add optional add-ons (e.g., skins, mulligans, lunch, etc.). Next to Add-ons, click "Add." In the pop-up, set the following (as shown below):
Name: Name of the Add-on option.
Price: Price of the Add-on option.
Description (Optional): Display a short description of the Add-on option.
Note: Add-ons cannot be priced at $0.
Payment
Once your entry fee options are set, select how you'll collect payment (as shown below).
To complete the Payment section, fill out the following:
Method: Select "Online" or "Offline":
Online: Accept payment by credit card through Stripe. Click "Connect Stripe Account" to link an existing Stripe account or set one up. Once connected, the account appears in the Connected Account dropdown — click the blue "S" to open that account's Stripe dashboard, or click "Connect a Different Stripe Account" to switch accounts (as shown below). For full details on creating and connecting a Stripe account, Click Here.
Offline: Enter an Offline Payment Message to let registrants know how payment will be handled (e.g., "Payment will be handled offline"). This message is shown to players after they register (as shown below).
Finishing Registration Setup
Once your registration settings are complete, click "Save." You'll be prompted to select one of the following (as shown below):
Publish Later: Saves your registration setup without publishing the event.
Publish & Open Registration: Publishes the event and opens registration immediately.
Clicking "Cancel" discards changes. Clicking "Skip Registration" saves the event without a registration and returns you to your Dashboard — you can add registration later from the My Events table.
Editing Registration Setup
Once registration has been added to your event, the Registration column on your Dashboard shows an Open/Closed toggle instead of a "Set up" link. To make changes, click the ⋮ menu in the Actions column and select "Edit Registration Setup" (as shown below).
This reopens the same Registration Setup screen, pre-filled with your current settings, so you can update anything and click "Save" to apply your changes.
