Share unique login links

Updated over a week ago

If you want to allow teams or players to submit match results themselves, all you have to do is share a unique login link with every team. These login links can be found on the Participants > Teams page. Please make sure the login link column is enabled from the Team Information panel. The links will be generated only if you have created a tournament website on the Presentation page.

Upon clicking on a login link, the user is able to enter scores for its own matches via the tournament website, without having to use a username or password. If you’ve included your tournament in the Tournify app and the user has it installed, they’re able to click on the bell icon 🔔 on the website to continue in the app. There’s currently no admin login for the app to report all scores and you’ll have to send the login links to each team using a third party tool (like WhatsApp or email).

💡Tip: if you're using the built-in Tournify registration page you can include the login link automatically in the confirmation email that is sent to each team or player after registering. Please go to Presentation > Website & App > Pages > Sign Up > Edit page and scroll down to toggle the switch that says "Add login link that teams can use to submit their match results".

Dealing with conflicts

A match result only has to be submitted by either one of the two teams. If someone from the other team has the Android or iOS app installed, a push notification is sent out when a result has been registered. The other team now has the option to dispute the result if a mistake was made or the teams don't agree on the result. In order to do this the player clicks on the Dispute result button on the tournament website or app. Disputing a result is only possible if that player is logged in using their own login link and only during the first five minutes. The dispute window currently cannot be changed.

Disputes will be shown to the tournament admin on the Results page. The Score button of a match will be marked red. Clicking on this Score button will show a log of the conflicting results entered by both teams. It's up to the organizer to decide on the final score which later cannot be overruled by the teams.
