To proceed with a rental from Tower, the following documents are REQUIRED:

TLC License
DMV Abstract (in case of coming from another state)
Accident Reports (for the past 5 years)
Proof of Address
Social Security Card
Debit/Credit Card (excluding American Express)
Deposit ranging from $350.00 to $1000.00 (depending on the make and model)
First week's payment.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR RENTAL CUSTOMERS ONLY:
Any tickets issued to this vehicle are your responsibility.
STREET HAILS are prohibited by TLC and strictly enforced.
YOU are the ONLY person insured to drive this vehicle; no one
Flat Tires, Replacement Tires, Glass, and Windshield are not included in this policy.
Maintenance (oil change, brakes, etc.) is included.
Check your vehicle’s state inspection, registration, and Diamond due dates. Tickets for expired documents will be your responsibility.
RETURNS are only done Mondays thru Fridays from 10 am to 4:30 PM. NO SUNDAY RETURNS
Please ensure you have EZ Pass. If you don’t, tolls will be paid by TOWER with a $5.00 service fee.
You must make an appointment 2 weeks in advance to return the vehicle or you will be charged an early termination fee.

RENTAL RETURNS:
Please be advised that when renting a vehicle from Tower, it is essential to inform Tower about your intended return date with a two-week notice.
(For Example: If today is April 1st, 2024, your return date would be April 15th, 2024)
Additionally, it is required that the vehicles:
Are returned how you received it
Cleaned and vacuumed
Has half a tank of Gas
Please note that rental vehicles can only be returned on weekdays, specifically from Monday to Friday, between 9:30 am and 4:30 pm. To avoid being charged for an extra day, kindly ensure that the vehicle is returned before noon (12 pm).
REFUNDS:
Refunds may solely be requested and handled if the account does not have any ongoing deals and shows a positive balance. The processing will occur 30 days (21 business days) after the final deal has been completed, allowing sufficient time for ticket verification. Refunds for payments made via credit card will be returned to the original card used for the transaction. For cash payments, a different procedure will be followed.
ADDITIONAL DRIVER:
Only customers who have a Lease to Own with Package (LTOWP) or Insurance policy are eligible to include a second driver on their insurance. To meet the requirements, the second driver must be approved by our insurance company. Additionally, there is a non-refundable fee of $500 to add them, which is due on the same day or week they are added. Furthermore, an extra weekly fee will be applied to their weekly rate, starting from $100 and potentially increasing.
PLATE SURRENDER
Only LTOWP and Insurance policy customers have the option to surrender their license plates. Typically, LTOWP customers choose to surrender their plates when they are finalizing their payment agreement. To avoid being charged for the entire week, it is recommended that customers surrender their plates on either Mondays or Fridays. There are no proration charges for customers, as they will be billed for the entire week.
TITLE REQUEST:
LTO and LTOWP customers are granted ownership of their vehicles once they have fully paid off the amount owed and their account with TOWER is in good standing. However, it is important to note that the title transfer process will only commence once the deal has been closed.
EZ-PASS:
It is the responsibility of customers to address any EZ Pass problems related to their vehicle. Customers who use bridges or tunnels must pay toll fees. If a customer has an Ez pass device, toll charges will be taken from their Ez pass account. However, if the cameras record the customer's license plate, Tower will pay for the toll costs and later charge the customer for the toll amount plus an extra $5 per transaction.
TICKETS:
It is the customers' responsibility to address any tickets issued to their vehicles. If you receive a citation in New York, we will promptly take care of the payment process. The payment will be automatically processed, an invoice will be generated, and an additional fee of $25.00 will be applied to your account.
TLC DIAMOND/STATE INSPECTION:
LTO: It is expected that customers take care of the task themselves.
Rental: The customer will be contacted by the operations department, which will provide instructions for dropping off the vehicle. In case the customer does not wish to wait for the inspection to be finished, they are permitted to swap vehicles.
LOST/STOLEN PLATES:
A fee of $200 will be applied in the event of a lost plate plus $200.00 insurance while we hold the vehicle, for a total of $400.00.
LOST/STOLEN VEHICLE:
It is imperative for customers to promptly inform the police in the event of a lost or stolen vehicle. It is Mandatory to present the police report to any Tower Representatives.
REGISTRATION:
Vehicle registration can be obtained at our Bronx office located at 35 West 170th Street Bronx, NY 10452 during our operating hours from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 6 pm. Should you wish to collect it in LIC instead, kindly ask for the registration to be transferred from the Bronx to the Queens location.
INSURANCE ONLY CONTRACT:
A representative will reach out to you one month before your agreement expires to discuss the possibility of renewing your contract with Tower under an insurance-only contract.
CONTRACT RENEWALS:
Customers are required to renew their rental agreements contracts after 53 weeks. Tower will reach out to all customers before their contract expires to inform them about the need to visit our office for a contract renewal. If customers fail to come in, their insurance, plates, and any vehicle-related documents will be canceled, and the vehicle will be repossessed. Contract renewals are scheduled from Tuesday to Friday, between 9 am and 4:30 pm.
