Written by Trackify Support

Overview

Trackify X provides options to control whether shipping and tax amounts are included in your Meta event values. These settings help merchants send more accurate purchase and checkout values to Meta for reporting, optimization, and ROAS tracking.

The two available settings are:

  • Include shipping in event value

  • Include tax in event value

These settings apply to the following events:

  • Purchase

  • InitiateCheckout

  • AddPaymentInfo

Where to Find These Settings

Navigate to your Trackify X settings where event value configurations are managed.

You will see the following options:

☑ Include shipping in event value

☑ Include tax in event value

Include Shipping in Event Value

When enabled, Trackify includes the shipping amount in the event value.

Example

  • Product Price: $100

  • Shipping: $10

Result:

  • Enabled → Event value = $110

  • Disabled → Event value = $100

Why Use It

Enabling this setting can help:

  • Match Shopify order totals more closely

  • Improve revenue reporting consistency

  • Reflect the full customer payment amount

When You Might Disable It

Some merchants prefer excluding shipping costs to:

  • Track product-only revenue

  • Optimize ads based on merchandise value only

  • Keep reporting aligned with internal analytics

Include Tax in Event Value

When enabled, Trackify includes the tax amount in the event value.

Example

  • Product Price: $100

  • Tax: $8

Result:

  • Enabled → Event value = $108

  • Disabled → Event value = $100

Why Use It

Enabling this setting can help:

  • Reflect the final checkout amount accurately

  • Improve consistency between Shopify and Meta reporting

  • Provide more complete revenue data

When You Might Disable It

You may want to disable tax inclusion if:

  • You only want to track product revenue

  • Your accounting/reporting excludes taxes

  • You prefer separating operational costs from ad performance metrics
