What is Lock Upon Payout and how does it affect my Maximum Drawdown?

Lock Upon Payout is enabled by default on all funded accounts.

When a full payout is requested and approved, your Maximum Drawdown will lock at your account’s original starting balance.

Example:

You have a $100,000 funded account and request a payout that leaves your account balance at $100,500.

Once the payout is approved:

  • Your Maximum Drawdown level locks at $100,000

  • Your remaining drawdown buffer is $500

  • If your account equity falls below $100,000, the account will breach

Important: Before requesting a payout, make sure you understand how much drawdown buffer will remain afterward. Withdrawing too much profit can leave your account very close to its Maximum Drawdown level, meaning even a small trading loss or market fluctuation could result in a breach.

*The payout screen does not currently calculate or warn you of your remaining drawdown buffer, so traders are responsible for considering this before selecting their withdrawal amount.
