What are OTC (Over-the-Counter) market securities?

Written by Editor

OTC (Over-the-Counter) market securities are shares of companies that are not listed on major stock exchanges like the NYSE or NASDAQ. Instead, they are traded through a decentralized network of dealers and/or market makers.

OTC market securities are typically associated with smaller companies or companies that do not meet the listing requirements of larger exchanges, offering investors an opportunity to invest in potentially high-growth or niche companies.
