What counts as “high-impact news”?

Updated over 5 months ago

High-impact news refers to major economic announcements that can significantly affect the markets, such as:

  • U.S. Non-Farm Payrolls (NFP)

  • Federal Reserve interest rate decisions

  • Consumer Price Index (CPI) releases

  • Gross Domestic Product (GDP) reports

These events are usually marked as “red folder” or “high impact” on economic calendars like Forex Factory or Myfxbook.
