Why did my stop loss not apply on my trade after the market closed?

Your stop loss didn’t apply because the market was closed. Stop losses only trigger when there’s live pricing and liquidity. After close, orders stay inactive and will only execute at the next available price when the market reopens, which can cause gaps or slippage.
