Let's get your trades from Interactive Broker into TradeZella

Importing your trades from Interactive Broker requires this one-time setup in your Interactive broker account. You do not have to repeat steps 1-12 for each import.
For new imports, you can just follow Step 13 and click ''RUN'' to generate a file.

  1. Log in to your Interactive Broker Client Portal

  2. In the main menu, click on “Performance and Statements’’.

  3. Click on "Flex Queries” under the Report section.

  4. Click on the plus icon next to the Trade Confirmation Flex Query title.

  5. Enter the name TradeZella next to Query Name.

  6. Select "Trade Confirmation" under Sections.

  7. Click Executions and ensure ''Select All'', is clicked on this Popup window.
    Scroll down and Hit ‘’SAVE''.

  8. Under General Configurations: By default you should see these configurations.
    - Date Format: Select "yyyyMMdd"

    - Time Format: Select "HHmmss"

    - Date/Time Separator: Select "semi-colon"

  9. Click on "Continue".

  10. A new window will show up for you to review the query, Click "Create".

  11. A new window will show up confirming you have created your query, Click "Ok".

  12. Interactive Broker will take you back to the Flex Queries.

  13. Click the blue arrow icon pointing to the right next to the Flex Query you just built called TradeZella. (titled RUN)

  14. Select the date range of trades you would like to import (example: Last 365 Calendar Days), then select CSV for the file format, and hit RUN.


  15. A CSV file will be downloaded to your computer and you can upload that into TradeZella by clicking on the ''Add Trade'' button on the left side panel and choosing CSV.

Please Note: For importing trades in the future you can just click on the blue arrow next to the query you just created called TradeZella, following Steps 13 to 15, and select the date range of trades.
