You can sync your Interactive Brokers (IBKR) account with TradeZella and have your trades imported the same day. Previously, IBKR imports took up to 24 hours — we've improved the sync process, so your data now comes in on the same day you trade.
The setup is a one-time process, and you'll need three things from IBKR:
A Flex Token
An Activity Flex Query ID
A Trade Confirmation Flex Query ID
Here's a quick video walking you through the whole setup:

Prefer written instructions? Everything you need is below.
Start on the Add Trade page
Log in to TradeZella, go to the Journal section from the sidebar, and open the Add Trade page.
If this is your first time syncing, click Add New Account, select Interactive Brokers as your broker, choose Auto-Sync, and click Continue.
Already have an IBKR account in TradeZella? Click the three dots icon on that account and select Update Sync (or Reconnect) instead.
You'll land on a page asking for your Flex Token, Activity Flex Query ID, and Trade Confirmation Flex Query ID. Let's grab each one from IBKR.
Open the Flex Queries page in IBKR
Log in to your IBKR account. From the menu, click Performance & Reports, then Flex Queries.
Generate your Flex Token
On the right side of the Flex Queries page, find the Flex Web Service Configuration section and click the settings icon.
Set the Expires After period to one year so your token stays active, and leave Valid for IP Address blank. Click Generate New Token, then copy and save it.
Create your Activity Flex Query
Back on the Flex Queries page, click the + button next to Activity Flex Query and click Create. Name it anything you like — something like "TZ Activity" works.
Under Sections, scroll down and select Trades. A pop-up will open with Executions already selected — just click Select All, then Save.
Then scroll down and check these settings for Delivery Configuration and General Configuration:
📗 Have multiple IBKR accounts? Each Flex Query works with a single account — so you'll need to create a separate Activity Flex Query and Trade Confirmation Flex Query for each account you want to sync. We also recommend including the account number in the query name (e.g., "TZ Activity U1234567") so your queries are easy to tell apart.
Set the format to CSV.
Set the period to Last 365 Days.
Leave everything else as default.
Click Continue, then Create.
Now click the info (i) icon next to your new query, copy the Query ID, and paste it into the Activity Flex Query ID field in TradeZella.
Create your Trade Confirmation Flex Query
This is the query that makes same-day imports possible.
📗 Multiple accounts? Select the same account you used for your Activity Flex Query, and include the account number in this query's name too.
Click the + button next to Trade Confirmation Flex Query and name it anything — "TZ Trade" for example.
There's only one section to select here — Trade Confirmation. Click it, and in the pop-up, Executions will already be selected — click Select All, then Save.
Set the format to CSV, leave everything else as default, then click Continue, Create, and Ok.
Click the info (i) icon, copy the Query ID, and paste it into the Trade Confirmation Flex Query ID field in TradeZella.
Connect your account
With all three fields filled in, click Connect. A pop-up will confirm your broker is syncing — depending on how much trade data you have, it may take a few seconds to a few minutes.
That's it! Your trade history will be imported, and any new trades you take will come in the same day.
Running into issues?
Double-check that each ID went into the correct field — the Flex Token is the long one, and the two Query IDs are short numeric IDs.
Make sure the format is set to CSV on both queries, and all other settings are left as default.
